The metric rule used by Carrèere is (12,12,8,8,12) ...
I personally prefer the (9,9,6,6,9) rule, The  rhythm is  much closer  to
the English one.

Carrière, Jean-claude (17-9-1931 - ) , French cartoonist, writer, actor, and
mostly known as a screen-writer (sometimes as Luis Bunuel's collaborator)
for "That Obscure Object of Desire" (Academy Award nomination 1972), "The
Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie" (Academy Award nomination 1977), "Diary
of a Chambermaid" ( 1964)  The Unbearable Lightness of Being (1988) and many
other films. As a novelist he co-wrote the sequels of "la Tour de
Frankenstein" from 1957 to 1960, "le retour de Martin Guerre" which became a
famous French film. He also published several dictionaries and anthologies
and published "101 Limericks français" (with his own illustrations) -
